Force of One Martial Arts

Force of One returned from the both the Washington and Oregon State Qualifiers with all ten competitors earning the right to compete at the Junior Olympics and Nationals in Dallas, Texas this Summer--Stay tuned, we're training hard!

November 20th 2011

This year's Governor's Cup was outstanding.  29 Force of One students competed among 643 martial artists from the Pacific Northwest and brought home 20 Gold, 28 Silver and 19 Bronze medals.  Special thanks to tournament chairman Grand Master Lee, and directors Masters Jason and Angie Lee for putting on such a great family-friendly event! We're looking forward to October 20th, 2012 and the next Governor's Cup!

Our first ever fundriaser which was held on October 15th was a tremendous success--Thank you to everybody who supported this event!  We raised $3,000.00 for Quilts for Kids.  These quilts will be delivered to Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon.  Our students teamed up with the Oregon State University Taekwondo Club and broke 432 boards while performing 10,064 push-ups.  The food that our families donated was absolutely awesome.

June 11th
Congratulations are in order for all of our students who studied hard and passed their belt test today.  Special thanks to all the family members and friends who came out in support!!

June 4th

Thanks to everybody who came out to support our 1st annual summertime potluck BBQ.  We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day: 86 degrees, squirt guns and tons of food!  Special thanks to Mr. Erik for the awesome smoked salmon, Mr. Tim for the delicious buffalo burgers, Ms. Nan for the sour cream dill potato salad, and Ms. Kathy for all the killer pulled pork.  We had so much good food that we forgot to eat the cake--and had to eat it after TKD two days later!!

May 28th

We had a great trip to Master Eric's Dojang in Clovis NM.  He really put us through our paces, we had a great test--even though we were at 4000+ft, where the air is a little thin!!  We really enjoyed meeting our extended FO1 Family and have added a photo gallery for your enjoyment.

April 24th
Our young students have been working hard and eleven students passed the promotion test last week.  Excellent work--we're very proud of all of them!  We know that they couldn't do it without support from their parents and families--Thank You!

Excellent job by our Force of One Martial Artists!  10 competitors brought home 5 gold, 4 silver and 8 bronze medals!--best of all, it was the first tournament for Anica, Brendan, Broc, Mason, Matthew and Mr. Mike.

March 6th

The results are in:  Our 11 competitors brought home 5 Gold, 10 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals.  Special recognition goes out to Miss Kathy, Miss Jordan, Mr. John, and Mr. Thomas for their gold medal performance in poomsae (forms).  Congratulations to Mr. Thomas for taking the gold medal in black belt gyroogi (sparring).  The competition was fierce as there were over 1000 competitors.  Be sure to check the "videos" page for tournament footage...

Congratulations to Mr. Thomas and Miss Alexandra for qualifying to attend the 2011 Junior Olympics and Nationals at San Jose California on June 28th.  They'll be training hard this Spring for the competition!

January 30th

Our young people conducted a belt testing on Wednesday, January 26th, with excellent results!  We've added about 40 photos from the test and placed them in the Youth Class page...check out the kids in action!

Congratulations to the 28 students who promoted today!  Their hard work and perseverance have earned them the next belt rank.  Special recognition to Mr. Jon Nuttelman and Mr. Zach Ellis for their outstanding performance in earning their Black Belts.

We just returned from the Washington Governor's Cup Taekwondo Championship tournament, which is one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest with over 700 competitors.  Our fifteen competitors exceeded all expectations as they brought home 5 Gold, 16 Silver and 9 Bronze Medals! 

Septmeber 5th--

We'd like to say thanks to everyone who took the challenge and came out last week for the free trial classes...You Rock!!  We had so much interest in the program that we had to order another dozen bags!
